We are proud to announce that we have a small flock of Gold Laced Orpingtons. These lovely birds are a true joy to have, with stunning colors and amazing temperaments they have fit right in. Due to the limited genetics available in Canada our flock is a mixture of Gold Laced Black and Gold Laced Blue, as with breeding any blue poultry we get a combination of Black/Blue/Splash base.
The following combinations are achievable when breeding Blue Orpington:
Blue X Blue = 50% Blue, 25% Black, 25% Splash
Blue X Black = 50% Blue, 50% Black
Blue X Splash = 50% Blue, 50% Splash
Black X Black = 100% Black
Splash X Splash = 100% Splash
Splash X Black = 100% Blue
