The splash hen and her baby have moved into the spare bedroom as it is just to cold for them outside in the coop even with the heat lamp.

Sadly today we lost one of the new chicks.

One more has hatched, two down one to go. Sadly the other two are duds.

One of five of the remaining eggs has hatched and one has piped.

The eggs are peeping hopefully tomorrow I will have babies.

The little brats have not hatched yet, I swear that they are thinking "lets wait a few more days just to drive the crazy lady insane,  Mwahaha!!!!!" Hopefully soon they will hatch, I can be patient I can be patient I CAN BE PATIENT........ probably not.

We went to the Poultry show hosted by the Vernon Pigeon and Poultry Club, five pullets and ten Cockerels went with us. One of the Buff Cockerels won Reserve Champion English by a novice, one of the Blue Cockerels won Best of Variety. More pictures to come soon.

Supper tonight was home made buns and homemade mushroom stew  yummy

The eggs under the splash hen have been candled, she has 3 that are spider-webbed with veins and 7 that I am mostly sure are also developing they have darker shells. Some how she has procured another egg from somewhere, so she has a total of 10 eggs now?
