Today was the day the pullets were supposed to go to the Armstong Fair but we had a small accident while loading them. One of the pullets freaked out and somehow got caught in a fly strip, after about an hour of trying everything I could think of to get the stickies out I gave up and grabbed Mr. Roo Man instead. He had not been bathed or prepared in anyway, heck I don't even have a cage that really fits him, but off to the Fair he went. Here is hoping all goes well.
I will be taking two of my pullets up to the Armstrong Fair 2013 to be judged by Heather Hayes, everyone is being bathed tonight.
I just want to show some of my Dahlia flowers to everyone. The Dahlia is my favorite type of flower, such a diverse group.
I was a little late in bringing the babies in tonight, normally just before dusk I go out, round them up and move them into the chicken house. Today I was late and it was dark out the poor little chicks were so scared, when I went out they were all huddled up at the gate waiting to go in. I feel so bad for the little guys. |
